Join Catherine Brooks, Niki Schemmel, and Sarah Fischer for a playful, heart-opening practice that is more yoga jam session than serious class.  Kula is a sanskrit word translated as "Community of the Heart", a community of like-minded individuals.  Kula Jam is a monthly gathering of the Richmond yoga kula in a joyful celebration of life.  This is a mixed-level open practice where students of yoga come together with friends to play, ask questions, and socialize.  Each month Catherine, Niki, or Sarah will bring her own spin to the session as we explore alignment, asana, and heart-centered themes under the guide of the positive life-affirming Tantric philosophy that Life is Good!

Mixed-Level - at least 6 months yoga experience recommended.  No Beginners Please.  Contact Sarah at spack2@hotmail.com to register!

Catherine Brooks was introduced to yoga by her parents at an early age and later rediscovered the path upon moving to San Francisco in 2001. Since finding Anusara in 2002, the Universal Principals have enriched her practice and drawn her closer to her essence.

As a student and teacher of yoga, Catherine combines her love of art and music with asana. Her classes are paced with breath awareness, moving towards balance through playful postures and deep openings. Catherine began teaching in 2008 after completing an Immersion and Teacher Training with Sianna Sherman and Noah Mazé. Catherine’s teaching schedule and art projects can be found on her website: www.catherinebrooksprojects.com
