Robin Raver,
R.Y.T. 200 Instructor
Robin Raver's first experience with yoga was Power Yoga in 1996 by a local yoga teacher. As she practiced and experienced other styles of yoga, her interest peaked in the Iyengar system. In 1999, she began a yoga teacher training with Iyengar certified yoga teacher, Lillah Schwartz at Lighten Up! Yoga in Ashville, NC. She graduated in 2001 and became a Registered Yoga Teacher (200 hours) with the Yoga Alliance. Since then, she has completed a few hundred hours of study with Aadil Palkhivala, including his Beginner and Intermediate Teacher Training, as well as his Therapeutic Teacher Training. She has also enjoyed workshops with various other Iyengar teachers as well as Yin Yoga teacher, Paul Grilley, who she credits for contributing greatly to her thinking outside the “everyone same-same” box.
Robin is also a massage therapist and specialized kinesiologist..
Robin teaches alignment-oriented classes that focus on creating a balance between flexibility and strength. Robin's background in therapeutics along with the use of props, enables every student benefit from the class and work within and expand their abilities. And while Robin is serious about the practice of yoga asana, be prepared to laugh while learning! Current scheduled classes are all-levels classes. Monday and Thursday’s 9:30 a.m.
Introductory/Beginner class - Thursday’s 6:00 p.m. This class is suitable for those new to yoga as well as those who have been practicing in another system and would be interested in exploring basic yoga postures in a more detail-oriented way. This class is a great yoga basics class where questions are welcome, and the "why this way, not that way" are explained.
Iyengar influenced is available as part of our Premiere Membership. It is taught off-site in the Fan. Email Helen@4025yoga.com for more information!
