The Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga is designed to align the body and help protect and rehabilitate it from injury while freeing the senses. This powerful practice synchronizes the breath with a specific set of postures to create an intense internal heat and a profuse purifying sweat that detoxifies the muscles and organs. This practice will improve circulation, and create a light strong body and a calm mind. When committed to memory, the practice becomes a meditation in motion.
